Freelance Editor

We are looking for an Editor to lead and manage freelance journalists for the organization. The Editor requires good judgment to decide what stories should run, and sound leadership abilities to guide reporters and writers in their work.

The ideal candidate is excited to join a growing organization and can work with a variety of individuals while managing competing priorities.

Qualifications and Candidate Background

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as an Economics Editor (or closely related experience) at a top US or Swedish news outlet
• A keen understanding the Swedish news cycle and a passion for staying up to date on Economic and business news
• Ability to quickly identify newsworthy events and topics – distinguish between news and views
• Tact to lead a team under pressure and motivate reporters to meet deadlines

Location

The position can be based out of the offices in Stockholm, however, given the situation with COVID-19, most of the work with be virtual.
